Wow, another busy day! The alarm goes off at 5:45. I am up by 6am usually. Shower, get dressed, get Jessica up and dressed, put food on the table, get Nathan up and dressed (not as easy), put food in his hands and then push everyone out the door with backpacks and lunch boxes and snacks! Whew!
Jessica went to school till 11:45 today. I dropped her off then had a meeting with the guidance counselor and principle where they just reviewed some policies and basic things about the school.
I went home and edited pics for a friend and looked up and it was time to pick Jessica up all ready!!
Nathan pulled his castle out to play with today.
A little down time and then we headed over to Drakes Creek park to feed the ducks. I had some old bread that we needed to get rid of. We stopped by and visited with a friend and then we headed to swim lessons.
I looked down and all the white ones were right there at my feet.
Then off to swimming!
Jessica was so excited! She started little flippers today. She looks so tiny in the class and I checked with Ms. Janet after the class to make sure she did ok, and she said she was great and that she was keeping up with all the big kids and some of them were 8 and 9 (sorry I have to brag a little). Janet said that she was getting and holding her breath as well as the big ones. She told Jessica that she was doing so well because she had worked so hard in her other classes. They are now teaching them how to swim, and then lift your face sideways up out of the water to get a breathe and then back down, like the real swimmers do. I thought for sure she would be exhausted because for 45 minutes all they did was go from one end of the pool and back over and over but she was still going strong!
Showing the kids how to hold their hands when they take off. They are teaching them how to push off from the wall and hold their breath under water with their hand together and then come up and get a breath and start swimming. Sooo very cool.
She is the little one the third one from the left.
Nathan getting into his class. He is doing awesome. Not crying and I see him and the teacher laughing all the time.
Here is Jessica swimming. The instructor is the middle is giving her some pointers and then she takes off. She is in the pink swim hat.
Then we changed clothes real quick and headed to soccer practice. Everything happened on the same day today. I packed dinner in the car (we have been so good. I have only eaten out 1 time this month) It is so easy to just grab something on the way, but I packed tuna and crackers and then we played soccer!
Tonight was much better than Saturday. Not nearly as much whining. Nathan played in his practice and did good.
One of the twin girls on Nathan's team decided to pick some grass!
Here they are playing shark attack. There are four boxes set up around the perimeter and those are the safe zones. The kids are fish and they have to kick their ball around and when coach Melvin yells shark attack, they have to hurry and get in the safe area before he kicks their ball out of bounds. If you lose your ball, you become a shark too.
Then straight home, bath, books and bed!!! They were asleep by 8:30 yehhh. Both kids have school in the morning all day!.
