I heard Jessica awake in bed this morning and went in and climbed in bed with her. In her sleepy voice she asked me "mom, do I have school today?" I said nope. then she said, "do we have church?", I said nope. Then she thought for a minute and said " so this is what a weekend feels like!" Cracks me up!
Yesterday both kids were in school. I crossed 6 things off my list. Still have 7 things to go but I did feel like I accomplished some stuff without having to feel like I was negelecting my kids by not spending time with them. Knowing I have three days a week from now on gives me a sigh of relief like I can do some things that I want to do finally.
When I picked Jessica up we stopped by the grocery store and got two more of the buy 10 get $5 off deals and. I spent $37 dollars. But I saved more than that in coupons! I now have plenty of cookie and brownies save up.lol
Jessica got her first homework sent home yesterday! So we have stuff to work on each night now. Course it is just learning letters and a few three letter words. She was so excited, she said " I have to learn two words for next week!" then she said, "course I already know them." So last night we did our first thing and reviewed the letters A - E and she taught them to Nathan as she was going through them. We also tried to teach him his colors and he just does not get it. He can match any color you give him to another and if I give him the sign language for the color he knows it but to name the color by sight, he just guesses. sometimes he guesses right but not usually. lol. We will get it I hope!
Jessica got to pick another treat from her box for going to bed good at night. Night time has been much much better.
You plug it in and turns and puts the colors on the wall. I found this at a garage sale I think, awhile ago. Course first thing Nathan does, is pick it up and drop it and breaks the light bulb inside. So off we go to wal-mart for a new night light light bulb.
Last night I went to bed at 8:30 with the kids. Slept till 7am when Nathan came in to visit. Not a bad nights sleep, felt good when I woke up and did you notice that all kids slept in their own beds all night! That doesn't happen often!
