Finally a day of calm

Thursday August 21st, 2009

Up early again today. I will have to stop posting this because now that we have entered the wonderful world of big school, I guess I will be up early every day. But this Saturday we have no soccer because they are prepping the fields so everyone cross your fingers that my little ones will sleep till, let's say 8am, yeah that would be good!

I know I am trying to "be good" but I did hit a consignment sale today. I only spent $8 though!

Army cantene for $1. This will go in his stocking - yeah, for Christmas.

And a Walley, Nathan loves Walley, - also a stocking stuffer.

Here is what Walley does.

He picked out some Spiderman slippers for $2.

And of course I found books. 6 for $1.

Then Nathan and I met a friend at Cornerstone play area. When I woke up, there was nothing on the calendar and things have been so busy that I just wanted to have some good Nathan time. We had a good time. It is so neat to watch Nathan start to develop his friendships separate from big sister. Nathan and A. played very well together and held hands when they walked and Nathan was actually calling her by her name by the time we left - which he hasn't done that with friends yet.

We asked them to stand together to get a picture and they stood for about 2 seconds and before we could snap the picture, they sat down and before we could snap, they laid down together and this was the only shot we could get! Too cute.

We are still working on colors!! I think we can, I think we can, I think we can! We will get these colors down someday.
