Soccer Time

Tuesday August 2, 2009

Last night the kids had their first soccer practice for the fall season. We asked for the same coach and both kids got Coach Melvin. He did such a good job last season and we enjoyed it so much. So Nathan's practice is first. The three year olds are so cute. They did really good. At one point though, all the little ones had left the field and two were crying and Melvin was just standing there like what now??? So funny!

Here they are putting stickers on the kids feet to show them where to kick.

Coach Melvin is going over with the little ones what parts of the body can touch the ball! No hands. At one point during practice, Nathan was getting frustrated and just ran after the ball and picked it up! Ha!

Ok, for my tough man who is not afraid of anything, while they were scrimmaging he would get upset every time someone tried to take the ball! And he would just stop playing and walk off the field crying!. He was hilarious! Here he is leaving the game to find mama and crying.

And this was another time that he just turned around and left and crossed his arms and does his hmmmph when he is mad!! I know I shouldn't laugh but soooo funny!

Here they are scrimaging.

Nathan has two other boys on his team and two girls that are twins. Aren't they all so cute!

Jessica has her practice right after Nathan's. She did so good last night. You can tell she has matured since last season because she was right in there playing and going after the ball and not getting frusterated. She did really good.

Scrimaging.

Here hs has them practice dribbling down the field and around the other goal.

Great first practices but boy was it hot! July tied the record for only three days that hit 90 degrees but August is making up for it because it is hot and humid!

Then lastly here are the kids with one of their race tracks set up.
