Sorry I am out of order but I will try to catch you up from this week.
On Tuesday, it was Nathan's first day back at My Gym. I was so proud of him. He did so good. Had to get on to him for throwing balls and for tackeling a much older and taller boy during a short section on tag but other than that he did a great job listening and moving with his groups and doing all of the activities.
At one point they all practice their forward rolls. The teachers show them form and then kind of push them through the roll. Nathan got up for his turn and put his hand up to the teacher and said "No, you watch me!" He didn't want her to help him. The teacher actually laughed and told all the parents what he said.
When they first arrive they have free time to play and Nathan went to the bars first.
This is part of their opening warm up.
More warm up time. The kids had to go around and say their name and their favorite book. Well, Nathan still does not say his name and he doesn't really answer open ended questions so they helped him with his name and then he just roared like a tiger so they were like ahh, you have a favorite tiger book???
Warm up stretches.
Then they do a relay. They had to do different things through the rings, like only jump in certain colors, one time they had to jump like a frog through the rings another time they had to stretch from ring to ring. They have to wait on the white line for their turn and then go to the white line on the other side.
Then they have 3 stations set up for gymnastic time. Here he is balancing on the moving board. He liked this too.
Waiting for his time to do handstands.
Starting his handstand.
Handstand! Point your toes!
Still part of warm up.
This was one of the relays where they had to be frogs and jump through the hoops.
Very fun time. I almost didn't sign him up to start going again and I am so glad that I did.
