Well, I had several things planned for the day and none of them happened. So much of a bummer. But we still had a nice day.
Chris completed his switch cut successfully last night and got home about 3am which was the plan and the kids and I were going to get up and go to the Tennessee Agricultural Museum for the free summer Saturdays but we slept till 9am. Yep, myself and both kids!
The plans were to go to lunch with Chris when he woke up from his late night so we didn't have time to do the Ag Museum before lunch. Then Chris had to go back in to work to make sure everything was ok, so we stayed at the house and it didn't take him long and then we were going to lunch.
Here is Jessica telling a story. Chris and I are calling her Ms. Drama now because she totally gets into her story telling now and she sounds so grown up telling us "how it is going to be".
Well, we had planned on Monelles a family style restaurant and this is the second time we have planned to eat there. The first time fell through because the location we wanted to go to was not open on week nights and we had wanted to go on a Wednesday. Well today we were going to a different location because Chris wanted to go to the farmer's market but come to find out they don't serve lunch at that location on the weekends, they only serve breakfast till 1pm and then then dinner at 5pm. Sooo
We headed down to the farmers market and decided to eat there. We had a good lunch. Chris introduced the kids to Baklava - they didn't like it - he was a little disappointed. Then we went and bought some fresh corn.

Now the plan was we had to mow the grass today before we went out tonight so we headed home and got the grass mowed in time for it to start raining. We had tickets for the baseball game tonight. So we didn't want to go to the game if there was a chance it would still be raining so that fell through as well!
So we stayed in tonight and Chris cooked us some fresh creamed corn and we had some smoked BBQ that a friend cooked up in his smoker.

Kind of a bummer that all our plans got canceled but we still got to spend almost the whole day together as a family and that was nice since our schedules have been so busy lately.
We set the lincoln logs up last night and built some houses, they played with it today as well till my destructive son decided to wreck it all. lol.
Jessica fussed and fussed at me to help build more house today and I was busy. She finally got the pictures out and look what she did all by herself!
