Batman's final Game

Last Saturday ended Batman's soccer season this year.  Whoo.  Glad that is done.  Our team ended up pretty good.  We had some great kids on our team and even though we don't keep score, we won about half our games which was exciting for the kids.

Here are a few more pics of my man playing.

Love this one with him and Coach Daddy.
And one last throw in.

This is our first week back to quiet now!  I am so thankful.  Kids have been in bed between 8 and asleep by 9.  Cooking at home has resumed and eating out will decrease.  Evenings are quiet and much less hurried.  I will definitely enjoy this all the way through the end of January when we begin gearing up for ball season!

Veterans Day

Friday morning our school had their Veterans Day Program.  I love our music teacher.  I love to watch her work and I love what she does with the students.  She put on a fantastic performance for our Veterans.

Due to the craziness in the past years with lots and lots of parents wanting to attend, they had to limit attendance this year to only Veterans and their families.  I got permission from the principal to come to take pictures for the yearbook.  So of course I snapped a few of my kids while I was there!

We had two performances.  The first one was Kinder, First and Second.
Here is my man in the sea of first grade white shirts.

They did it outside this year on the back patio.  This is a shot of how they lined up.  Ironically I didn't see the red, white and blue pattern to the kids until I downloaded my pictures.  Then I thought, how cool!
 And my sweet pea.

First Grade Bibles

On Nov. 4th all the first graders at church were presented with their first bible.

They do this every year in honor of a man who got sick and died way too young.  His family provides the bible in his memory to all the first graders each year.  It is very exciting for the kids.

 Our Children's Pastor.

Batman is up.  He got on stage and said his name and then was presented with his bible.

He was so excited.
A shot of all the first graders on stage.

 With Big Sister.
and with a group of good first grade friends.

He was told to go home and write his own name in his new bible and that is exactly what he did!

Rock Concert at School

For our Boosterthon Fun Run Fundraiser, one of the kids goals was to get a pledge from every state in the United States.  We had a huge map on the wall at school that documented where all the pledges came from.

Well they accomplished their goal.  As a reward, the Administration (A-team) at our school promised to perform a rock concert for the kids.

We had no idea what they were planning. They not only did one concert, they performed for the kids during lunch and had to do it 6 times.  And they totally got into with full dress and makeup and props.

Our Principal came out and introduced everyone and they opened with We Will Rock You.
Then they performed two songs.  One of which was call me Baby.   Kids loved it.
 Our Counselor.
 The whole team together.

I went and sat with my little man while he watched the concert.

And I stayed for lunch with sweet pea to watch with her as well.

Very fun day for the kids.

Outdoor fun

I kept 2 of our friends kids one Saturday while they were at a gymnastic meet and Chris was taking pictures at that meet.   We decided to get out of the house and take the dog for a walk.  So off we went to one of the local parks.

Kids spent two hours playing and swinging and digging in the dirt and had the best time!

Coming to a close

Deep Breath....  Soccer is coming to an end.  It has been a long season.  The kids are starting to fuss about going to practice.  They would rather do other things.

I am done with soccer.  I am ready for some softball and baseball!  That is what I am ready for.  The kids never get tired of that.  We are always sad when that season is over!  And guess what!  I saw the first reminder that spring ball signups start middle of this month!  Oh yeah!

But back to soccer. Ladybug played her last game of the season on Thursday night.  They actually set up a full soccer field on the baseball fields so that the kids can play soccer under the lights for tournament season.

Tournament starts Saturday morning.  Double elimination.  So we shall see.

But here are a few pics of my goalie warming up this week. The light was terrible!  Sun was shining right in our eyes. But got a few cute ones.

She loves to punt.  She has been practicing that one!
