Halloween

Wow, Halloween totally snuck up on me this year.  October was truly a blur.  We fit it all in but we missed all the fun stuff like the pumpkin farms and fall crafts.  Makes me miss the good old preschool days where we played all month and enjoyed being outside.  But I know, times must change and the kids get older.

Well you remember our tree in the front yard.  It was a little scary and several little ones walked by fascinated with it but they were slightly afraid of it.  It was our first year to venture into "scary" for Halloween.

Well our costumes went there as well.  It was the first year we were not what I would call neutral superheros, and princesses.  Ya know, not scary, just dress up fun. I was not sure how I felt about it but it did make me feel better as I saw their friends posting pictures venturing into the more scary and darker halloween costumes as well.

Here is a group of neighbors.
There is my Batman.  He was a ghoul this year. He actually didn't wear the mask for too long.  He ended up using it to carry candy after his bucket filled up.

And my Ladybug.  I found this long robe and she loved it and declared that she was a magician!  She brought her little bag and had one of her magic tricks inside.

 My sweat pea.

Love the costume because I don't have to argue with him to smile, smile, look at me, at me please!
Once again this year we made hot dogs with friends before heading out.  It make the after trick or treating and getting ready for bed sooo much easier when their belly's are already full.

Batman and his next door bestie.
And another group shot of more friends.

We totally made a mistake this year.  Chris and I like to stay together.  We don't do the whole, you hand out candy and I will walk with the kids senerio.  We both want to watch them.  Well they really got into collecting candy this year and we stayed out walking too long.  We missed the biggest rush at our house and we are left with wayyyy to much candy this year.  Usually we give it all out.  So we will have to find creative way of getting rid of it.

Good Halloween.  Kids were in bed by 9pm and I was passed out by 9:15 exhausted from the day!
