First we had to estimate the weight. Then weight it. Next we had to estimate if the pumpkin would float and then we had to put it to the test. No, right. A pumpkin is heavy, right.
Well, yes it does! 3rd graders and this mama learned that pumpkins do in fact float!
Then we had to measure the circumference and count the number of creases and how far apart they were.
Then it was time to cut it open! They had to estimate how many seed would be inside and then count them. We grouped them in groups of 10. We had over 300 in our pumpkin.
