Then if you follow this link you can see Jessica with one of her sweeties both sporting their Tennessee.
Then tonight is was Disney On Ice "Celebrations". I did my cheap thing tonight. I got the tickets buy one get one so they were only $11 a piece. And I ordered them way back in the summer when they first went on sale so we were in the sixth row from the ice. Then as you know, since it gets dark inside, they always sell those light up things for like $20, so I have some that were given to us by a grandparent so I stuck those in my purse and I stuck a 3 musketeers (Jessica's favorite candy bar) and some m&m's (Nathan's favorite) in my purse with a bottle of water. I did offer to buy them some ice cream but they were all for the candy! So event turned out free after purchase of tickets. Love that. And from the looks around us, there was no recession there. People were buying all kids of food and cotton candy which I think sell for $10 because it comes with a birthday hat, and light up things and lemonades and icees. I can't imagine the amount of money spent on stuff there tonight.
And the performance was wonderful. Here are the kids in their Disney outfits.
Jessica had princess and Nathan had his cars on. And can you believe that I forgot to take my camera in!! I don't know what I was thinking!
But the show was wonderful. We got to see all the princesses including the new one coming out at Christmas where the frog kisses the princess and she turns into a frog too. There was an "unbirthday party" with Alice and Wonderland and the rabbit. Of course Mickey, Minnie, Daffy, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy were in it. Then there was a Halloween scene where all the villians came out. Like Cruella Deville, Captain Hook and a skeleton skating. Jessica wasn't sure about this part! And we got to see Buzz, Woody and all the toys from the movie and Baloo from the jungle book. Tinkerbell was there as well and Lilo and Stitch!
Nathan sat still and didn't more for the first hour and then sat pretty still for the rest of it and Jessica loved it. She was on her feet most of the time, pointing and narrating and dancing.
I loved watching their faces when something new would happen. I think that as they get older, they are definitely getting more out of the performances we see.
