Today I had tickets for the TPCA family field trip series of Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Catapillar, Little Cloud, and The Mixed Up Chameleon. It was a great performance! It was a puppet theatre from Nova Scotia that recreated the three books with puppets and all done in black light!
They had a bunch of activities before the show.
Here they got to take cotton pieces and color them to make clouds and tape them to the big background.
This was Jessica's, she said she drew a "m" for mom, a "d" for dad, a "j" for Jessica and an "n" for Nathan on hers.
Then here they got to make a caterpillar. She helped them take two sticks and put a piece of velcro between them.
Then they picked out balls to make their bodies and put eyes on them.
Very cute!

After the show, they came out and told us how they recreated it. Here they were showing how the Caterpillar ate through the apple.
The mixed up chameleon and all the different things they put on him.

After the show they had 5 trick or treat stations set up for the kids. And here they could get their paper signed by the ones that performed the show.
Taking a break and eating the cookie we got at one of the treat stations.
Ok, Jessica took this picture. It was great of Nathan because he actually smiled, but had the shadow on me.
This was better of me, but Nathan was back to not smiling. lol
And Nathan managed to actually take a picture of me and Jess.
