My Three year old walks out of the bedroom this morning at 6 in the morning, bleary eyed, half asleep and walking in a crooked line and says to me, "Go on cruise?" No, not yet baby, you have two more sleeps.
I pick him up from school today and I says, lets go! "Go on cruise, mama"? No, not yet.
Can you tell he is a little excited!
I pick Jess up from school today and we talk about her day and then she tells me, "I don't want to talk about that, tell me about the cruise."
Can you tell she is a little excited!
Let me tell you, I am excited. I have taken on a lot the last couple of weeks with no real end in sight and I need something to distract me and make me just stop the daily grind and know that life will still go on if I don't get everything done.
My husband who only takes time off of work when he has accumulated four weeks of vacation and they tell him to take a day off before he stops accumulating more, has passed all of his responsibilities on to someone else, has on his own, gone and purchased a pair of sandles and come home so excited yesterday because he bought a new backpack to carry around with us on the trip!
Can you tell he is excited!
I am a little sad to not be home for fall break, to not do many of the things that we always do during the October month. But just as this school year has thrown me for a loop with all the life changes that are taking place, this is just one more change we have made, as the kids get older, we have an opportunity to do more things with them and experience different things. I am sad as things are beginning to rapidly change in our life, but I am so terribly excited to introduce them to this and begin traveling with them. You know, many people have asked if we are taking the kids and I couldn't imagine not including them in something like this. It is going to be an amazing experience for them and I am so excited that I can share it with them.
