Yeh, this is my first post.
Today Chris had the day off work and we spent a nice day together. In the morning we headed outside to do some yard work. We have slowly been getting all the bushes and trees trimmed back and today we worked on the front bushes. The kids are old enough to help now so we all worked together. Chris did the trimming and the kids and I got everything out to the street. Jessica and Nathan used the gator that Nathan got for his third birthday and did all of the hauling for us! They would load up and drive it over to the pile and dump it for us. It was great.
This was before we got started. They were ready to go!
This was their first load!
Dumping the limbs.

Chris trimming and the kids waiting for a load.
After we got done with the front yard, we showered and ate lunch and then we took the kids to see Ice Age 3, Dawn of the Dinosaurs. It was cute and the kids enjoyed it. Usually I will bring some m&m's or a snack but this time I brought some lollipops and it lasted Jessica through the entire show and Nathan through at least half.
This is Chris's new truck. The kids love it because they have their new seats in there and they get to have windows that roll down. So here we are leaving for the movie. Nathan had already climbed in!
Then we came home and grilled out. Chris grilled some great BBQ chicken and we picked up some french fries. He seasoned some for us and and of course left them plain for the kids and then we made some brownies for dessert. Then Jessica wanted to eat outside so we ate out back. It was a perfect night to be outside.

After dinner, I spent some time learning about blogging (lol) while the kids played in the house and then we planted some flowers that mamaw and papaw Windham got them for their birthdays. Jessica planted the cactus and Nathan's just had flowers. Then they stay in their little greenhouse. We will keep them watered and let's see if we can get them to grow!
This is Jessica putting the water on her cactus.
Nathan watering his. Of course he was naked but I think i did a good job missing all the private parts in pictures!
Nathan putting his seeds in.
Here is the finished product! We put them on the front porch so that they can get sun and to help me remember to water them!
After our flowers I coerced them into the bath on the the promise that if they hurried we could catch lightening bugs. So they took a bath and got their pj's on and we went outside and caught lightening bugs. Daddy was the best at catching them.
