I have found that level 1 readers really have different reading levels. One level 1 reader is too easy, another may be just enough to challenge her and another one is too hard for her right now.
So here are her first 20 that she read all by herself! I am already seeing progress in her reading and what she is being taught. Books that I never would have picked at the beginning of August, are now good books for her to work through and challenge her (and not overwhelm her).
She is not always happy about stopping and sitting down to read but I am very proud of her and she is doing great!
As for what I am reading to her... we started Black Beauty. I have actually never read it before and she is loving it.

Hey we should swap readers! C has finished 18, mostly 1's with a few 2's mixed in. We could trade out to have fresh ones to read.
