More softball!

Saturday morning begins early with softball practice at 8am.
Today they started out with throwing. He taught the girls how to hold the ball. Then to get on their skateboard (turn sideways), make an L with your arm (bring it back to throw), and the step and throw.
Daddy got out to help today.
Ladybug was drying the dew off the ball.
Ready to go with alligator hands. Ok, grandpa Hatch, I now know what it feels to practice throwing with your kid. In the past it usually meant a lot of bad aim, running after the ball, missing the ball. Wasn't a whole lot of fun but was needed to teach them. Ladybug has matured a little and now we can just go outside and throw the ball back and forth. She catches almost all of them and her aim is getting much much better and she wants to scoot further and further back so that she can throw further. It was so much fun!
At practice today she played pitcher and I have never seen her so attentive. She was watching last year because she was ready to go, ran after the ball, didn't let much get by her and was throwing it to first.
Daddy coaching her.
She caught it.
And a direct throw to first base!

It is gonna be a fun year.

Ok..... a post to come in the future will be entitled "Bling". Just wait for it! I am getting a few lessons in the way they do things around here!
