Ladybug is a "Yellow Jacket". Her team name. lol.
Teams draw times randomly and we just got lucky and have practice at 8am on Saturday mornings. No more sleeping in till June! But it actually works out perfect because Batman's team drew 9am on Saturdays.
All the girls huddled together. Coach went over all the positions with the kids and they ran the bases.
They do things much differently here from what I understand. Both kids only have the option of t-ball. There is no coach pitch for their ages. And it is what they call "instructional" so parent involvement is highly encouraged and allowed so that the kids can gain as much information as possible. Parents are allowed on the field to help from what I understand. There are some advantages to the t-ball because the kids can work on their swing and have a much better chance of hitting the ball and hitting it harder and it seems that that gives them more of a chance to play the field. There is much more of a chance to field the ball and more chance to touch the ball, where as much of the time it never left the infield with coach pitch.
Amazing, we are playing for a league just for our subdivision that we live in. I don't know how many girls teams there are but there are 7 boys teams just in Batman's division.
Very excited about the season ahead of us. Batman has his first practice on Thursday and I can't begin to tell you how excited he is!
