Today we took the kids to the fair. My goal was to do it the Ms. Cheap way and not spend a whole lot of money and I think we succeeded. Chris joined us for the adventure on the bribe that he could get a funnel cake! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the cake too. Cost $6. Can you believe that $6 for a funnel cake! But it was worth it.
Nathan after his funnel cake!
We went to see the canine dog show. Free - Very good. This is the one that they use all rescue dogs and they have been on all of the morning news shows and some of the night talk shows.
Thought this was neat with the sign between their heads.
Dog jumping on his back.
Look how high.
Another high one.
Dogs doing handstands??? lol.
This was a lego exhibit set up. They got a tag that went around their neck and there was a lego representative there that asked you to "find" something in the display. If you found it you got a sticker.
Next we watched the pigs race - Free. It was cute but they did too much talking for the kids.
Nathan and daddy watching the pigs race!
Pigs jumping into the water.
Pigs racing.
Another Nathan and daddy watching the pigs!
Bigger pigs racing.
Then we watched a lumberjack show - Free. The kids sat and watched the whole thing.

The kids and I watching.
And we got to watch the BMX bikes do their stunts. Now Nathan liked this!

We only got to see some of the animals. Here we are looking at the baby chicks. I told Jessica to ask daddy for one so that we could have fresh eggs! She was all for it. lol.

Then the McDonalds play area was all free. The had bouncys, a swin set, and a petty farm.

I had never seen a bouncy like this, you had to climb inside and walk through the tunnels inside it. Once the kids braved it and went in they liked it.

Big slide! We did this a bunch of times.

The petting farm. I did spend $1 for some carrots for the kids to feed the animals.

A well. Once Jessica learned what a well is, I would tell her it was a "deep subject" and now she always tells me that!
Here she made the kids bracelets.

Some fun shots. They had these set up everywhere and I think the kids would have tried all of them out if we would have let them .

We had a good time. We were there for almost 5 hours and we didn't get to do and see everything that I wanted but it was still worth the $5 tickets we paid for at Kroger to go. Plus it was starting to get dark and the crowd was starting to get a little scary and crazy looking, it was time to go!
