Daddy tried to get off work for the first day of school but couldn't get out of a meeting in New Orleans. So he had to leave the house very early to catch a plane. He left the kids a note and they were so excited to read it. Ladybug is still carrying in around in her backpack.

I have no idea why, but Batman decided to jump in the car this morning and climb. He never does that.

Well, if you can believe it this is a perfect pic. The second before they were fussing at each other and the second after I snapped they were fussing. But for memories sake, they love each other.

The morning kickball game. It got a little smaller this year because we had several kids go off to middle school. But we added two new ones over the summer.
Time to get on. Ladybug was taking her job very seriously to take care of her brother.
Batman hesitated for about 10 seconds. When I showed him that another little kindergarten girl was getting on, he ran right up and got in line with Ladybug. Look at this sweet picture. He was so happy!
Bye Bye. Was much harder for me than I expected and yes I did cry. Who wouldn't with such a big life change.
But then I did a few things around the house and headed up to school to work. lol. I got to peak in on them a few times and talk to their teachers. Mama is never too far away.
They both did great! Both were so happy when they got off the bus. Very very successful transition in life.
