I should mention that we went tent camping. I should mention that we are setting records right now for the longest number of days over 100 degrees in history and I should mention that we were under a heat advisory the entire time.
I should also mention that we had a great time!
All in all, 12 kids. Just missing our little one here. Look at Batman who had to go inside the tent to look through the mesh for this picture.
Dinner time!
Didn't see any alligators, but the signs were posted everwhere.
Beautiful each night!
A little fishing.
Hannah caught the first fish. Everyone was so excited!
Ladybug looovvved fishing! Daddy was so happy about that and can't wait to take her again.
My man hanging out on the drink cooler.
Our breakfast chef for the weekend!
The boys started playing cards by themselves!
My sweet pea.
Pretty sure this was breakfast.
Ok, all it took was a little pier, some rocks, a bank leading down to the water and these kids were happy for the entire weekend! Of course my Batman was the first to completely fall in the water and got a pretty good scrape on his back.
After the big fall.
Love my boys!
The girls out numbered the boys this weekend. No way was I getting a serious picture out of this bunch!
Hanging out on the back of the truck and ready to go swimming!
Swimming in the lake.
Time to go to the nature center. Got to watch a snake eat a mouse.
Hold an alligator claw.
And pet a baby alligator.
Most favorite time of the day (or twice a day) Smores!
Taking it easy. It is hard camping!
My man has never like smores before. This trip, he decided he loved them! He woke up wanting his favorite desert each morning!
My little le-le. So cute!
Time for a hike. Do you see any alligators?
We only had six kids on the hike.
J and her husband R and the two little ones.
Batman can steak out a gun anywhere!
Love these kind of pictures!
Daddy showing Ladybug how to look through the polarized glasses.
Another posing spot.
Dinner on night 2 - Kabobs!
More fishing.
More waiting!
The Allen kids!
Our tents set up. We set up right beside our friends so that we could pump cool air into their tent from our.....
air conditioning! Yep we took our window unit and boy did it help out!
And one last canoe trip for the kids before we packed up.
Biggest plus of the weekend. The kids did not one time ask to watch scooby doo, watch tv, play with the xoom or play their DS. Rocks, water, sticks, friends and food were all that was needed and made everyone happy!
Can't wait for our next trip together!
