Let the children come to me.

Let the children come to me. Matthew 19:14.

A break through! I know Batman is different than Ladybug. Boys are different than girls. They learn differently and at different times. Batman does things when he is ready and noone can force him to do it any other time.

After church this Sunday, in the car on the way home, I was reading through Batman's papers with him. There was a few short sentences and then I read his bible verse, "Let the children come to me." This quiet voice in the back finishes for me and says Matthew 19:14. I did a double take and stared at Chris with my mouth open as if saying was I the only one that heard that.

I asked him to repeat that and he said the whole thing. Let the children come to me. Matthew 19:14.

I was shocked. He not only knew the verse but he knew the address and when asked he knew we were talking about Jesus.

It should not be a surprise because he has heard verses all his life now, he has heard the bible stories, he has been in cubbies and repeated verses back to the teacher, but for him to tell me the address without hearing me say it first was huge for me. Whatever they did in Sunday school obviously clicked for him and it was just one of those so cool moments.

Still praying that God places us in the right place for all of our family. Little God breezes like this sure do help when finding the right path.
