Fire Department tour

Last Wednesday I scheduled a table playdate for my MOPS group. We had a nice group of moms meet up at the new fire station. The guys were super nice and spent two hours with our group letting the kids ask questions and touch and explore just about anything they wanted. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in seeing the new fire station, giving them a call.

Several of the boys were all around Batman's age.

Lunch room. Batman started counting tv's and the first one was in here. They had several tv's throughout the building.

Relaxing in the actual tv room (where there was of course another tv.) When on duty, they are not allowed to just hang out in this room until after 4pm.

Everyone wanted to touch the ax.

And the different nozzles.

Brad dressed up to show us what he would look and sound like if they came to your house.

The kids got to dress up too!

They took us out to the training building out back and let the kids go all the way to the top. (Not the roof lol, just the window you can see there.)

Waiting for them to bring the fire truck around.

Very cool, for training, they spray water down this vent and it goes into an underground storage area where they can reuse the water again.

Climbing on the fire truck.

Yes, I want to touch everything.

Our whole group.

Batman helped him roll out the hose so that they could top off the water in the engine.

Hooking it up to the hydrant.

Hooking it up to the engine.

Wowww, when the water filled up the hose! Love that face.

Don't let the water get meeeee!

Then they let the kids roll the hose up a few times.

Very fun and so glad that we went. Only bad thing was that he missed his Easter egg hunt at school that day but I so much enjoyed having him with me. We spent the morning at the fire department and then got lunch and took it over to the park with the other moms till it was time to pick Ladybug up.
