Spring Break for Batman

What a great week I have had with Batman! He is on spring break this week and I have thoroughly enjoyed having him home with me all the time. Who would have thought that a year ago when I was pulling my hair out trying to figure the boy out!

It is has been so good, the thought has even occurred to me to keep him home from school next year. That and the fact that I seem to be getting very sentimental now that I have an end in sight of both babies being in school. Crying, Crying.

We actually haven't done too terribly much and I haven't had my camera all week. Can you believe that.

Thursday, we had speech at 8am. He has a new little boy in with him during that time. They are the same age and their birthday's are one day apart. He has declared that Jackson is his newest best friend along with A. Then we went shopping. Yes, I said shopping with my son. Just a quick trip to Target to get a shirt for Ladybug. He got a new sport shirt too to play soccer in. Then we headed to meet some friends at My Gym. We had a play date. Most of the kids ended up being older 3/4 and up to six so they did some older things with them and they all loved it. It was perfect. Then we went to lunch with 3 other families and had a nice leisurely 2 and a half hour lunch while the kids played. Back home to pick Ladybug up from school and now we are outside playing because it is a beautiful day!

Wednesday, we headed downtown for a new pair of shoes. I was in desperate need of a good pair and then we went over to the downtown library for story time. Love their story times and they happened to have a craft because it was St. Patrick's Day. So we made a green hat. Then we went to McDonald's for lunch. His choice. A friend was there and we played till it was time to pick Ladybug up. Then we did something we never do. We all laid down in my bed to read books (not that part, we do that all the time) and after reading we all went to sleep. We all took a nap. I am talking a 21/2 hour nap! It was so wonderful. I woke up a few minutes before them and had quiet time to get my bible lesson finished for Awana and everyone was in a great mood for church that evening. I felt so much better teaching at 7:30 at night not being tired from the day.

Tuesday after we dropped Ladybug off at school. Batman and I came home (7:15am) and got back in bed! We laid in bed together and dozed and watched kid shows till 9:30. We only got up because, well we were a little hungry and we had speech at 10:30. The we had our my gym class at 11:45, and picked up Ladybug. We had a meeting with Ladybugs teacher at 1:30 for about 40 minutes and then friends came over to workout and play and then we had soccer and softball practices that evening.

Monday we just ran errands. We got to drive daddy's truck today and I think that was the highlight! We had to go and get his emissions tested and go to the grocery store.

Yes, nice week and we still have one more day. It is going to be beautiful. Should it be the zoo? Or something else. Will have to wait too see how we feel in the morning!
