Note home from school

Ladybug got a note sent home from school today....

I just wanted to let you know how sweet Jessica was today! (Unnamed child) has had a rough week and today nobody would play with him. So Jessica offered to play/share with him. It was very big-hearted of her and it touched my heart. Way to go, Jessica!

Ladybug talks about this little boy a lot and likes him and she prays for him at night. He does get in trouble a lot and I know from Ladybug that he has had a really tough week.

We talk a lot about good and bad decisions. We have also talked a lot about how we treat others and about bullies. We have discussed sticking up for others that may be getting bullied or mistreated and helping them out and what to do for herself if someone is unkind to her. She has a pretty strong personality so I am not worried about her too much but I strive to teach her how to be a leader and to put herself in someone elses shoes. I was so proud of her when she applied some of the actions to a friend at school. I know she didn't do it to get Kudos, but boy was she so proud of herself, knowing that she made him feel better and that she got a special note sent home for her and she got three pelts on top of that.
