School Project - Leprechaun trap!

Last Sunday after church, we all sat down to work on our next Family Project for Ladybugs's class. I think Chris is as excited about the projects as Ladybug is!

She had a choice of making a rainbow with any kind of medium she wanted or she could make a Leprechaun trap. She didn't even hesitate when asked. Leprechaun trap it was.
Humm, we hava a box.

We wrapped it.

We made a big mess on the living room floor. Daddy had to do the cutting with the knife.

Ladybug cut out trees.

Batman looks like he is helping. That was when he was not cutting something into little pieces and putting tape on the tile like it needed a top coat.

Yes, now he looks bored. He probably just got in trouble for trying to tear something up!

Final project. We covered the box with white paper then laid down green for the grass. She made cut out trees for the forest and a path with brown paper. Then she put dobs of glitter glue on the path to lure him in. Then we placed a pot of gold along the path. It was actually a sea shell filled with yellow pieces of paper and all held together with gold glitter glue. There was a sign that said "do not touch gold." Then right before he got to the gold, there was a trap door he fell through. Then on the front you can see the latch to open it to get him out. For the fastener we glue on a gold coin then added a rainbow at the end.

Fun project and everybody helped. It took us a couple of hours though.
