Fun times

We have had a great couple of days.  I love the weather here.  We had one month of cold and then otherwise it is capris and t-shirts and the last few days I have switched to shorts during the afternoons.  I have gone so far as to break out the sunscreen for my face because I am getting too much sun while playing outside.  (Well I like the tan but not the white streaks that are left behind by my sunglasses!)

I love it!  This is what my body was made for.  The warmth and sunshine raises your spirits, and just makes life good!  So instead of cleaning and organizing and putting together my new house (which desperately needs it!) We have been outside and playing with friends.

Wednesday Batman had a friend over to play.  They had a great time.  Here I popped in Scooby Doo and both boys were mesmerized by the tv.  Oh to have that much concentration on one thing!

Then outside to play.  I call our afternoons the "preschool play party".  The party begins anytime after about 2pm depending on who is home.  Most of the preschoolers are home from school by 3pm and the street fills up with riding cars, kickballs, toys, scooters, soccer nets and cones.  We are teaching cars that drive down our street to think twice about doing it again unless you live on the street because they will have to drive about 2 miles and hour and dodge any number of things including kids!

Look dad!  They are all playing with the building toys!
This is the debris on our street after a pretty tough afternoon of playing!
Score!
Ladybug and her creation.
Well well Batman.  He has been able to ride without training wheels for almost a year now.  He just refused to do it.  He knew how and could do it by himself but just didn't want to.  Well yesterday I guess he decided it was time. He got Ladybugs little bike out of the garage and just took off.  After a while he moved to Ladybugs big bike!  Then on to the neighbors big bike!  I foresee no training wheels in our future!
The boys riding together.

Trucks and tow trucks
And the girls.

Thursday Batman had baseball practice.  Ladybug found her friends and were all curled up by the tree playing a DS.  They proceeded to move on to digging in the dirt.  She was dirtier than Batman before bed tonight.

And here is daddy doing his thing on the baseball field.

And this was so cute.  I asked Batman what his favorite thing to do at baseball practice was and he took his plate of pork chops and made a baseball field with all the bases and showed us all how he liked to run the bases.  This little man is getting so big!

Here's to sunshine and beautiful days!
