Bikes, McDonalds, Flip Flops and Mardi Gras

Sorry need to catch you up from the weekend!

On Friday we joined the bi monthly preschoolers playgroup at the church. So cool. Love that they do this and that it is a planned event! Today was warm so we went outside to play and everyone brought their bikes to ride in the parking lot. My camera was in the car so I missed the boys climbing the huge mound of dirt behind the church. But they loved it and we got to meet some more new friends.

Then on to McDonalds where we spent a couple hours chatting and playing. The significance of this trip was that Batman busted his lip on a friends head. He thought it was really cool that he had a "busted lip". lol. He used it for sympathy for a couple of days.

Then Friday night Ladybug participated in a Flip Flop Clinic at the gym. But I had to ask what a flip flop was! It is a back handspring. Oh, cool. Well she loved it. This was her first introduction to it so she got the basics of how to do it but can't actually do one yet. But she did very good and with some work she will get it.
In position. They rotated through three different stations in a hour and a half and each station had at least 5 or 6 different areas to work through.
Here was one of the stations.

Then on Saturday the gym had a parents night out from 7pm-11pm. When Ladybug got the flier about it, she wanted so bad to go. So we signed both kids up and they had a great time. They got to go all over the gym and not just where their class is in their weekly time. They have big things to jump into and huge trampolines etc.

So Chris and I tried a new movie theater. You sit down and there is either tables or a long bar like table in front of you and you order dinner while you watch the movie. It was a full restaurant service, with a bar and appetizers, meals, desserts etc. They bring the food to you when ever you order it. I liked it and thought it was fun. Chris wasn't as impressed with the seating but it was a good experience.

We saw Adjustment Bureau. It was a really great movie. Great ending. Really enjoyed it.

But for parents night at the gym, it was a mardi gras theme. The kids all made masks and then they would judge the masks while they were there.

Great for me the masks and feathers were all 50% off this week at Hobby Lobby!
Batman's mask.
Ladybug's mask. We had fun making them.

Not only did all that take place but Chris and I were very productive in the house this weekend. I got my picture that all the friends from Tennessee made for me hung and the wall decorations my MOPS group gave me up. So excited. Worked in the guest bedroom for our first visitor that is coming this weekend and Chris made some new shelves for the closet. It is v-e-r-y slowly coming together.

Plus we had Awana on Sunday evening and it was parents night. A parent can be a friend so Ladybug has brought daddy two times now and gets extra Awana bucks for that and for every verse that the parents memorized, your kids got Awana bucks. So I memorized psalm 23 and Psalm 1. That was 12 verses all together so Ladybug got an extra 45 shares! Very fun and very productive weekend!
