Beauty and The Beast 6-20-10

On Sunday I got tickets to go see Beauty and The Beast at TPAC. It is something that I knew I wanted to do but it was also something that could cost a lot of money. I love that on the TPAC website you can go on and choose your seats and not just accept "best available". So because I wanted to go, I choose seats that were right in the center. But because I didn't want to spend $200, I got seats in the very last row of the balcony. They were good seats because we could see everything, the angle is sharper so we didn't have a problem seeing over the people in front of us, there was a lot leg room and the kids could actually stand up, although they only did that a couple of times, because there was no one behind us.

Ladybug was mesmerized, she loved the whole thing. Her favorite part was Gaston's sidekick LaFue because he kept getting knocked over and doing somersaults and falling down. Batman did great, but if it was a talking part with no action he felt the show should be over, but he loved when they were singing and dancing and moving. He declared that his favorite character was the beast because he had a tail!

Very well done performance. I enjoyed it.

Then we walked up to the fourth floor of the library parking garage and slipped into the Renaissance Hotel to take a joy ride on the glass elevators.

Loved this because they were looking at each other laughing.

This elevator was fast. When it started moving it took off! And when it would go down, you lost your stomach.

And of course, we can't go downtown without pointing out the Batman building!

This was the restaurant as you entered the hotel. It was not busy so the kids jumped up on one of the seats. Check out the background.
