How we celebrate the end of school

Well, not the usual way... we went for our 4 year old and 6 year old checkups.

Batman actually snapped this picture of me in the car and I don't usually get in the pictures because I am taking them, but here I am.

Ladybug outside of the dr.'s

Batman

And of course, the I don't want to stand still, together and actually smile at the same time as the person beside me!

Ladybug - 6 years old
weight 41 3/4 lbs (15%)
B/P 98/62
Height 43 1/2 in. (25%)

Batman - 4 years old
Weight 33 3/4 lbs ( 25%)
B/P 86/56
Height 40 1/4 in (65%) - He is going to catch up with his sister!

Both are deemed very healthy. Batman could have gotten all of his kindergarten shots this year since he is four but we just got the chicken pox booster and will wait till next year for the rest.

I don't think I posted his cardiology appt. Batman saw his cardiologist earlier this month. He looks great. Over the last two years, his heart rhythm seems to be more pronounced in that when he was a baby, they had to go in and put his heart into tackacardia to recreate it to now when they do the echo they can just look at the printout and tell it is there and that the extra pathway is still there. He has not had any re-occurrences since he was small and the medicine seems to be controlling it. But they did say it is not uncommon to see problems begin occurring around the ages of four and five. I am hoping that now he is old enough to be able to tell me something is wrong when it happens. The plan is still to do the ablation around five years old to close the extra pathway and eliminate it.

I spoke with them about Houston and of course they feel Vanderbilt is better (jokingly) but they felt that if we decided to transfer all services to Houston that they could recommend a very capable doctor. So we will most like find a cardiologist when we get there and then decide next year where to have the surgery performed when the time comes.
