Thursday's Zoo - Sounds That Animals Make

Well after hitting my first consignment sale of the season and dropping $70 bucks ahhhh. ( I felt better when I made $50 subbing on Friday.) But I did find some good deals. We then headed to the zoo for our class. Well it was still a little cold but it was warm enough for spring construction to begin! So we headed in a different direction when we got there and came upon the petting zoo. As we walked in, low and behold...

A digger! They are clearing the area for new wallaby's that will be coming soon! I think Batman could have stood and watched the digger all day but I coaxed him to move onto the animals.

Goats.

Camels. This was hilarious. They were actually cleaning out the pins while we were there and the guy put his shovel down and started using the rake so the camel went and picked the shovel up! Then he proceeded to carry it. Here he had carried it about 4 feet.

Then he lifted it to move it easier.

Then it dropped. Way too funny.

Batman relaxing with the tigers and the snakes.

A pose from Batman! Wow!

But... back to normal here. lol.

And here, hiding behind the horse.

Today was sounds. She played different sounds for the kids and they had to guess what it was.

We got to see a singing dog. Of course his sound is barking/singing.

We got to pet him.

And a red macaw. His sound is supposedly a loud screeching sound. But we didn't hear that one today. But we did get to see him crack a nut open with his teeth and eat the nut inside.

Then out come the sound makers.

Today our craft was a macaw. He got to glue feathers to make a bird. He was very proud of it and couldn't wait to show his sister.

Singing our goodbye song and telling about what we learned today.
