1st big girl gymnastics

Ladybug had her first big girl gymnastics class on Tuesday. After looking at a couple of places, we decided on Gymini Athletics in Hendersonville. They just moved into a new building and the facilities are very nice. The class size is small and very manageable and I think that hey have some talented teachers. Ladybug jumped right in just like she always does. Her teacher was able to show her how to do each move that most of the others already knew (and the lingo lol) and she picked it up very quickly. She came home last night practicing her cartwheels and bridges.

Picture before class.

They got on the high bar. It was funny because she is not scared of anything. I was sitting in the waiting area and I couldn't hear the instructions. Ladybug did three moves on the low bars and since she was first in line she just went over to the high ones, climbed all the way up and got on the high bar and I was like nooo, don't do that! (Course I didn't say that.) But it ended up she was following directions and just hopped right up there and was doing exactly what she was supposed to do.

They worked on three balance beams, doing a different move on each one.

Learning how to do cartwheels over the mat.

At the end of class, she sat each of the students down and she had a sheet made out for each one and they put stickers on each of the tasks they completed. I believe that they are working for prizes but I haven't got the whole scoop on that one yet.

Ladybug walked out of class and matter of factly told me that she liked the class.
