Pool time in Ohio

We swam in Ohio in Sunday evening when we arrived, on Monday after visiting Grandma and Grandpa, on Tuesday after visiting family and on Wednesday night after a long day at Old Man's Cave. Grandpa made sure all the hotels had indoor pools and the kids loved it.

Now what is even more significant about this swimming experience is that I didn't swim with the kids this time. This was my first time to sit and watch the kids swim, knowing that both of my kids can swim all by themselves! Of course I was right there and most of the pools were 3 feet deep in the shallow end, I could have jumped in if I needed to and I would never never leave them unattended. But Ladybug has been swimming by herself for two years now and Nathan can jump in the deep end and swim to the shallow end by himself. And he has become a little fish just like his sister. It was just one more milestone that we have reached and one more confirmation that starting both kids in swimming lessons at 18months and sharing that time with them and teaching them to love the water (even thought there was a little, or a lot, of crying) and watching them go to their first classes alone at 3 years old and seeing them both swimming by themselves shortly after their four year old birthdays has paid off and was definitely worth it!
