I ended up not taking any pics on Christmas Eve but we pretty much did the same thing on Christmas Day. Lots of eating, playing games, watching TV and more eating. We hung out in the mornings in our PJ's and pretty much relaxed for two days.
After a couple of Christmas that we traveled when the kids were little we made the decision that we would always be home for Christmas, so that is all the kids really remember. More on that in another post.
So this was a little different for them to see how other families celebrate, having family pop in and out and cousins to hang out with, different food traditions etc.
Little Miss S in the front and little Miss L in the back got some tickle time with my Ladybug today.Christmas lunch. Lots of food, lots of desserts, lots and lots of leftovers. It is pretty much here is lunch, snacks and dinner for the whole day as we snack throughout the afternoon.
Papaw and Little S.
Hmm, so we need to cut this brisket.
My people!
My girl
Lunch with half the crew, the other half was in the other room.
The littles.
Opening presents.
We told everyone that we were not doing a lot of presents and that our Christmas would be our vacation so Mamaw and Papaw gave the kids both money for them to spend on their trip.
And then a few other little things, a cell phone holder and flash light.
Batman got a new necklace and Ladybug got a necklace and an ankle bracelet that she loved.
Chris got a new sweatshirt that should be great for Washington DC and a waffle bowl maker that we will definitely have to try out. They also gave us some money as well which we will use for something special on our trip.
Chris's sister and her new husband which we got to meet this trip and 4 of the cousins!
Aunt Tracy face-timed so she could watch the kids open up their cars. For those that don't know, She started a car account for both kids years ago and for special occasions, birthdays and holidays she puts money into their accounts that they can take out when they go to buy their first car. So for each occasion she sends them a hot wheels car with a card letting them know how much she added.
This is Sushi Go Party, a new game for us. We played Exploding Kittens and lots of UNO as well.
Mamaw and Papaw. They worked really hard to get the house ready and Mamaw has been cooking for the last two days!
And more of my people with the whole raised eyebrow matchey faces.
It has been a good couple of days! Bed tonight and we start our trek towards Washington DC tomorrow.
