A little, lunch, storytime and volunteering

Wednesday was our VIPS breakfast (volunteer). Here is a shot of all the ladies, I did see one guy there. It was a time for all of the Chairs to recruit more volunteers.
Each chair had to make a display to represent their committee.
Here is what I came up with for mine. I have 6 coordinators under me, one for each grade level and then all of the volunteers that will be assigned events to take pictures at.
When it was over it was time for lunch, so I stayed and had lunch with Ladybug. She was so excited.

Then I headed to the workroom to see if they needed anything. There was just a little, so I stayed to help knock it out and I am so glad I did!
Swenke brought in a "Storyteller". A paid person to talk to the kids. She was extremely entertaining! She taught the kids about "exaggeration" and when to tell the truth and when to tell a "story" She told them the story of Pecos Bill and how he fell off the back of a wagon, got adopted by coyotes and how he found his cowboy family again, got his name and acquired his horse name Lightening.
The kids loved it! They sat and listened to her Tall Tale the whole time and would laugh at times and then just stare astounded at times as she exaggerated her story.

Plus as a bonus, I got some pictures for the yearbook!
