Just another Saturday

Nothing like an 8:30 soccer game to get everyone up and moving this weekend. But I was prepared this week. Last Saturday, I was so behind and my poor family didn't get any breakfast. Not that they don't have two hands and are all old enough to go and grab something, just nobody did so we didn't get to eat till after soccer pictures and a game.

Anyways, this week I was ready with everything out to make bacon and french toast on the griddle. Yum.
Home to do a little designing on the computer. I have requested and my wonderful husband has graciously accepted the challenge of building me an open and airy bookshelf/display are for my digital photo albums and family pictures. He loves using the google sketch to plan out his projects.
Ladybug took it up on herself to do her own project. Her tool...the recycle bin. Notice all the thing she pulled out! Too funny.
Batman wanted a project too! So thanks to the Hatch's we had a perfect project in a box that has never been put together. So we made a step stool.
Batman is into crafts and creating now adays. He loves glue and crayons and markers and paint. And of course if you can hammer something he is all for that as well.

Need a little break to play some ball.

After one of the worst trips to Lowes we have ever had....we now had all of our materials to begin building.

Ok, you want to know? I witnessed the worst temper tantrums from a 5 and 7 year old that I never would have thought possible! All over the carts that are big enough to carry wood on that we let the kids ride on. So if anyone saw me dragging two big kids out by the hand with one little girl begging for another chance and one little boy screaming "I want my daddy! You are hurting me!" (which by the way I was in no way hurting that little hand but I was not going to let go in case he decided to bolt!) Well, that was just me hulling my kids out to the car so daddy could finish buying the wood. And they continued to scream at the top of their lungs in the car. I don't know what came over them and both at the same time but if that cart was putting out bad vibes we will steer clear of the wood carts for the foreseeable future!
Ok we are happy again. Back to the recycle bin and daddy gave her an old roll of electrical tape. And after some water and food coloring, she was having a great time.
And since no one bothered to tell Houston that fall has officially been ushered it, we were hot and decided a water balloon fight was in order.
So that was our Saturday!
