When I was on my way to Texas he said he had a surprise for me. Course I told him I didn't need anything. When I got there he said it was not in yet and we kept checking back at Best Buy for a couple of days. I was thinking, what do I need at Best Buy. That is your store!
But after checking another store he came back out with this.

A Kindle. I didn't ask for it or need it. He just said I know how much you love to read and I wanted to get it for you. It was an extremely thoughtful gift. He got me the version that comes with Wi-Fi so I just need to be near a network and I am online. At the house, it is always online and I can just download books.
Soooo, the next new obsession is to find FREE kindle books to download! They are out there and if I had all the time in the day I would be searching. But I did pay for my first book, Janet Evonovich's new book that just came out. It was not cheap (in my book) but it was cheaper than buying the hardback that is out now and I will have it forever on my tiny kindle that will hold 3500 books.
And secondly, I got a message that I would get a package this past week. And ya know it is pretty exciting to know a present is on the way and have no idea what it is.
Thursday it came in the mail...

A new strap for my camera! It is an over the shoulder strap as pictured and it is designed for women so that it fits correctly and it hangs at your side. There is no more of it falling off my arm when someone is pulling on me or hanging around my neck around the front and it gets so heavy that your neck hurts by the end of the day.
Chris has one for his camera and I used it in Vegas and liked it much better. It doesn't have the cool "Nikon" name on it, lol, but it was a perfect gift.
Thank you sweetie. I love them both and love you very much!
