Next week is Red Ribbon Week and we were creating a walk of fame (stars) for the office. Batman was great all week and be boped around the school like it is his. The gym teacher is now his buddy and the librarian knows him by name and chats to him each time we see her.
So on Thursday we went in and finished the last of our blocks and headed down to the zoo. It was a perfect day to get out. The weather was beautiful. There were a few school buses but not too busy to slow us down.
Of course we have to take a look at the Meercats through the telescope.
Beautiful fall colors.
He is a petting zoo boy. So funny because I kept the kids out of the petting zoo for several years. We would just bypass it because it is kind of dirty, ya know. But not anymore.
This was our first time to see the new flamingo exhibit. Pretty cool to watch them stand on one leg and then find where the other one was hiding.

A little ice cream to finish off the day. Then after speech on Friday we headed over to gymini where we take gymnastic classes to try out their preschool playdate they have on Friday mornings. We met up with a friend for the morning to play and picnic at Drakes Creek.
Batman sitting in the rings. He and the teacher were playing duck duck goose.
Split jumps! They basically opened up the whole preschool area, trampoline and the large blue floor mat and set up things to climb on and balls to play with. Batman ran the whole time. It was perfect for him.
A little slide action at the park.
Can you believe it is almost the end of the year. Two more months till the end of the 2nd 9 weeks. Then all we have is the spring and summer and I will no longer be a preschool mommy. Seven years of preschool life will be over and we will be starting a new chapter. I am trying to be aware of that with every thing that Batman and I get to do together over the next 8-10 months.
