First place in cheeroff!

Sunday was the day of cheer off. The cheerleading/football season is long. We see an end in sight and we welcome it! The regular season has ended but our team made the playoffs. So we had our first playoff game last week. If we win one more, we go the Superbowl and get to play in the Berry Center. So we hoping for one more big win.

Cheer off is the end of the season competition for the cheer leaders who choose to participate. Our team choose to do it. You perform one cheer and on dance. The dance we have worked on all season and we perform it at half time during the football games. The cheer we put together just for the competition.

End of the dance. Once again, they looked fantastic. One of the pyramids didn't happen but the girls recovered and posed at the end like nothing went wrong.
There were 16 teams performing in our division of 2nd and 3rd graders. They had first, second and third place for the cheer and first, second and third place for the dance.

We knew they had done well. First up was the cheer and we got first place! Girls were excited! I thought there was no way they would win the dance as well. I figured they would spread the trophies out so more kids could win, but apparently they went strictly by the points because we won first place in the dance too!
