First Final Game

Well the youngest team in Fairfield league has fought their way back to the top in the playoffs.  We won our first two playoff games pretty easy.  Then we beat a team that beat us twice in the regular season that put us in the top bracket for the final playoff game!  It is double elimination so we were sitting good not having lost a game.  The team we played had one loss against them.

Jess had one of her best games and did a great job. She batted 100% and fielded some great plays.  But the team overall couldn't pull it off.  The coach said they lost their focus but from this mama's standpoint they all did fantastic.  There were out their playing just like we taught them to.  Very few balls got past them, they were all hitting.  It was a good game.

It didn't help that the other team called time.  We always get five innings in but they called time during the fourth.  We technically could have won it in five innings if we held them and got all our runs.  But alas, all the girls on both teams did a good job.

I did cupcakes for Ladybugs birthday with all the girls number on them!

 Pregame talk.
 Sweet pea.
 Looking good.
Love this one.  She is totally off the ground after fielding the ball and coming up so fast to throw it.
 And another catch.
 And another!
 One more hit.

 Daddy shagging balls.
 And another hit!

Ready to run.

Great game girls.  We get one more chance for the championship!!! Either way they are winners for how much they have learned and how far they have come in just one season!

Volunteer breakfast

This week our school had a volunteer breakfast for the volunteers.  Teachers and Administrators made breakfast for us and they had a fifth grader and her sister sing a song from Wicked.  Someone found my camera in the workroom and took pictures.  I had no idea and when I downloaded them today, I did a double take wondering how they got on my camera. lol.

Birthday girl part 2

Here are the rest of Ladybug's day!

I met her for lunch.  Daddy had meetings this week he couldn't get out of.  Canes was her choice for food!
Her birthday set up and ready to go.
 Here she comes.
Yes, we got our daughter a PINK ripstik.  The boys on the street have them.  She would borrow theirs to practice.  Well now she rides it around and around the island in the kitchen because she can reach out and grab it if she begins to fall.  She is getting better at it.

 Magic cards

 39 Clues
 Car from Aunt Tracy.

Great day!  She decided she wanted noodles and white sauce for dinner and didn't mention going out.  So we got some good bread and had fettuccine for dinner!

Birthday Girl

Shocking that I have an 8 year old.  The time goes by so fast!!

Up and ready to go to school!  Yes she has two shirts on because she has this adorable birthday shirt but she is not supposed to wear tank tops to school so we layered!
Birthday announcements!  She was already up with with the principal when I arrived at the school.
Since it is the end of the year, they break the kids down and let the summer birthdays come up to say announcements as well.  There were a lot of June birthdays today!!

Dodgers end their year

Baseball season is over for Batman.  There are no playoffs for this age.  We had our end of year party at the splash pad. We did the pizza and cake thing.
Daddy getting the pizza ready.

It may not look extremely pretty but it sure tasted good!

Batman and one of his self proclaimed "best friends".

 Award time.

Too goofy!  Can't get a good shot.
 And cake time!
They played in the fountains for awhile!  Don't I don't know why he was kissing the pole but that was the only picture I got!
