Then I saw the USA letter on a blog. I used the paper mache letters from Hobby Lobby and spray painted them Red, white and blue and then we put glitter on each one. I thought they turned out so cute.
Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July!
My centurion soldier on day one.
Our love craft on day two.
Our Jesus walking on water craft on day three.
Batman's class.
My little man!
Preschool worship time.
I just love that boy. He is just so precious when he is singing his songs and doing the motions. I think this was the I Love you Mooorrrooorrrrre song.
Then they had a puppet show reviewing what they had learned each day.
The preschool stage.
My craft team. We are missing Toby, my teenager (he was probably off with his girlfriend somewhere) lol
The big kids stage.
My sweet pea singing her song.
Ladybug came home and told me her favorite part of each day was missions. Wonderful right! Well their mission project is a place here in Houston that uses basketball to bring kids in and feed them and their families. So we were bringing in food items for their organization. Our kids pastor said he would become a human hot dog if they got a certain amount of boxes of food. (Apparently last year he kissed a llama.) So since it is New York and you have lots of hot dog stands....
He actually sprayed his face red like he was being roasted and the team made him into a hot dog with ketchup and mustard and bread.
The four of us. Chris got to join us for two days this week and it was so much fun to have him there with us!
But the kids did enjoy watching it.
Ready to go. It was a little too windy but he tried it anyway.
He kept it up for a couple of minutes.....
Then it ended up in the tree.
In all fairness, it really was too windy.
About 5:30 out came the signs and the cones. Honestly anyone driving down our street tonight got some pretty good stares. Two cars even backed up and didn't even try it. lol.
YUM.
Decorations.
Sweet friend down the street.
More sweet friends.
Our Master chef and neighborhood fix it man!
Tag teaming the cooking.
More decorations.
It is just getting started.
My beautiful girl with a giant hole in her mouth!
Time to eat.
Out come the gators. As you can see there are three on the street with the princess car bringing up the rear!
Little busier.
The gangs all here.
Bikes stacked against the tree.
Family shot!
We saw our neighbors there!
Sweet pea.
Here it comes around the corner.
First off the fire truck.
When they blew the horn, Batman went running to daddy.
A water gun float.
Anyone could be in the parade so we saw tractors and go carts, bikes and strollers. We saw cars and trailers and even a zumba class zumboning along.
One float threw necklaces, another was giving away American Flags, bracelets, ice pops and of course candy.
We then biked onto Subway for breakfast and then took the long (shortcut) way home.
Oh yeah, I was there too!
